ECDIS-Link

How it Works

When you register an account on the ECDIS-Link website, you are automatically allocated a personal cloud space. This secure cloud environment stores all data intended for delivery to your vessel. It includes, but is not limited to, ENC, ADP, e-NP, weather forecasts, tide tables, Notices to Mariners (NTM), and more.

These data sets are purchased from official service providers (such as PRIMAR, IC-ENC, etc.) in accordance with the terms of the Service Agreement you establish with one of the authorized ECDIS-Link distributors.

Onboard delivery is carried out via the Internet using the Get-ENC application, which can be installed on any computer within the vessel’s network. Alternatively, data can be delivered using a dedicated secure router, which provides enhanced cybersecurity. When using the router, ECDIS can connect directly to the ECDIS-Link cloud.

ENC and other data are downloaded via the Internet to a shared shipboard network drive, from which they are then imported into the ECDIS system. For users of dKart navigational products, the entire data delivery process is fully automated.

In addition to chart ordering and data delivery, ECDIS-Link offers a suite of tools to support various operational tasks, including:
  • Automatic route generation and safety validation
  • Under Keel Clearance (UKC) calculation
  • Passage Plan compilation
  • Electronic Log Book maintenance
  • And other value-added navigational functions

ECDIS-Link is designed to serve three key user roles:
  • Navigators onboard vessels, for managing navigation data and voyage planning
  • Distributors, for processing service requests and managing chart delivery
  • Supervisors from shipping companies, for monitoring and oversight across fleets
