ECDIS-Link

Security Matters

The best way to deliver ENCs to ECDIS is through automatic data transfer. For this purpose, a special program called GET-ENC must be launched on the ECDIS-Link computer. Using the client's credentials, this program uploads ENCs and transfers them to ECDIS. It's as simple as that.

Is it safe? Yes, it is safe because GET-ENC uses encrypted protocols and closed ports. Unfortunately, when dealing with the Internet, there are no 100% guarantees of antivirus protection, even when using specialized hardware. Nevertheless, the level of protection provided by ECDIS-Link is practically the same as that of online payments or remote credit card transactions.
